How did you start your career?
“I received a traditional training as an insurance practitioner with a focus on HUK (Liability/Accident/Health). During my training, I discovered my passion for claims work and began my career as a trainee technician in the Motor Claims unit. From there on I worked my way up within the department: from deputy group manager to group manager, and from office manager of the claims office in Munich to department manager. During this time, I was also allowed to implement a new claims processing program (KIDS) nationwide. That was very exciting, as I could offer important insights from my various previous career stations. After a period as executive assistant to the Board of Management, I changed to the Quality Management unit, where I worked as Head of Department for operations.
My next career step was a move into project management: in 2010 as sub-project manager in the claims task force; in 2011/2012 project manager and office manager in the new board department Claims. In 2012, I built up a quality management system in the claims unit and in 2013 became Department Head of Motor Claims Service and Motor Claims Field Service in Bavaria. From 2015 to 2018, I was Head of Motor Claims Germany in the claims unit.
In March 2018, I switched to ERGO. I was tasked with setting up the Digital Claims Factory and reorganising the claims unit. In September 2019 I then took over the role as head of the newly established claims unit. Since April 2022, I have been Head of Department for the entire claims organisation.”
