The system enables autonomous flying, increasing drone operation scalability by 10x and reducing operational costs by 60%. It utilises computer vision on edge for object detection and visual-based navigation, incorporating active learning to continuously improve the AI model in real-time.

The team is currently testing their solution in various applications, including firefighting monitoring, emergency search responses, wildlife monitoring, security, and more. In the future, PLENO wants to also provide the solution for environmental monitoring in remote areas that are currently hard to access.

Chief Technical Officer Nino Lindenberg has expertise in AI and computer vision. He was a special forces candidate in the German Federal Armed Forces and studied at CODE University. Chief Executive Officer Nura Linggih has extensive experience in product management and consulting, with an MBA from WHU Business School.

During the Carbon Removal ClimAccelerator with Munich Re and ERGO, the team worked on satellite remote sensing solutions for nature monitoring. The founders pivoted to drone technology, leveraging similar computer vision AI for more flexible use cases as drones produce higher-quality images at a lower cost compared to satellites.
