  • You have a master's or diploma degree in economics, ideally with a focus on finance, controlling or accounting.

Your profile

Analytical skills combined with a solution-oriented personality.

  • You have a degree in natural or economic sciences with a focus on financial mathematics and have already gained initial professional experience in the insurance industry in at least one of the areas of risk management, actuarial services, statistics or ALM.
  • You are aiming to train as a (DAV) actuary, are in training or have completed such training.
  • You have the ability to provide technical guidance, very good communication skills and a strong team spirit.
  • Your personality is characterised by strong analytical thinking, an independent way of working, a high level of commitment and integrity.

  • Get up, shower and get dressed.
  • Have breakfast: muesli with oat milk.

  • Check who is around today.
  • Make initial phone calls.
  • Find out what the day will look like and what is on the agenda today.
  • Attend initial meetings.
Jour fixe
  • Regular work meetings (Jour fixe).
  • Favourite appointment: cross-departmental efficiency jour fixe.

 Lunchtime & time to catch up with colleagues
  • Lunch with colleagues (favourite spot: the Italian restaurant at the ERGO canteen food court).
  • Coffee afterwards, either at home or with my team, preferably in the stylish courtyard of Café Central @ ERGO. This is important for team spirit and for feeling part of ERGO. Thoughts, concerns and personal matters are discussed over coffee.
Meetings
  • Work discussions, agreements between departments, allocation of tasks.
  • Objective: Together with colleagues, advance topics in the team and the department – optimise processes and achieve progress.
  • Frequent topic: Optimisation of data processes.
  • Once a week: Fixed meeting of all group leaders with the head of department.
End-of-day meeting
  • An end-of-day telephone call with my direct manager. When most meetings are over for the day, around 6 p.m., we usually still have some time to discuss important topics (or less important ones) or to review certain appointments.
