In times when artificial intelligence can take on many tasks and will take on more and more, the role of managers is also changing. It is becoming increasingly important to engage in a continuous dialogue with employees. Managers need to build proximity and establish personal contact,” says ERGO Labour Director Lena Lindemann in the New Leadership Podcast.

Lena Lindemann talks to host and leadership coach Sebastian Morgner about the most exciting turning points in her career, her biggest learnings and success levers for the future of leadership. What managers radiate is becoming increasingly important: ‘Encouraging people and exemplifying values is becoming more and more important.’

Among other things, the conversation focuses on parallels between competitive sport and leadership, presence, active listening and empathy, clear structures in uncertain times, the need to learn - but also to question what has been learnt.

Lena Lindemann says: “My job is really amazing: we want people to have an impact. My team and I create the conditions for this.”
